DESCRIPTION: Big Base Double White Star Desert Rose. All our desert roses are grown in full sun and watered with bore water. As such you can have white limescale present on the leaves. All our desert roses are seed grown. YOU WILL RECEIVE THE EXACT PLANT PHOTOGRAPHED HERE.
POT SIZE: All our desert roses are potted in either 110mm or 140mm pots.
CARE & MAINTANCE: We recommend using a very free draining mix as a potting medium. Overwatering and a constantly wet root system can be the number one downfall of any desert rose. Pots that are large will hold water for a lot longer as you can see we use smaller pots that drain quicker so bare this in mind when potting up. You can use large pots you’ll just need to allow the potting medium to dry out completely in-between watering’s. Cactus and Succulent mix is a great potting medium if you don’t make your own special mix.
SPECIAL NOTES: Desert roses regularly go in and out of growth periods depending on the seasons, humidity or weather events such as lots of rainfall. As such all throughout these periods your desert rose can develop yellowing leaves followed by leaf drop or spotty/blotchy leaves that turn yellow and leaf drop.
Plants can be floppy once potted from being taken out of our potting medium and sometimes plants can develop yellow leaves and leaf drop from the process of transplant shock but should develop new leaves in your care.
WE QUALITY CHECK EVERY DESERT ROSE AND IF WE NOTICE AN ISSUE YOU WILL BE NOTIFIED. We can offer a replacement or reimbursement if a replacement is not possible during our packing stage. Desert Rose photos are taken in advance to allow for sufficient stock to be available; As such photographed plants will have the same number of branches however it may/may not be in bud and/or may or may/may not have leaves. This is season and weather dependent and out of Bouldy Home Nursery’s control. You are however receiving the exact plant taken in these photographs.
LONG TERM WELFARE: If your stem is firm it is doing great. Spongy stems and rot from both the top down or the bottom up means your desert rose is rotting or dehydrated and will need immediate attention.
